    We will be back

Excellent service! Clean room. The tram stop is just few meters from the hotel and easy to find. Flower marked opposite the hotel. Perfect location for shopping, restaurant. Small breakfast room, but enough space. Breakfast was fresh and good.

    Great Value, great location

My husband and I stayed at the Albus mid December 2016 for 3 nights and loved it! The Albus is definitely a hidden gem right in the heart of Amsterdam. The staff were really helpful and friendly and our room was clean with all the things that we needed. Location was perfect, walking distance to everything! Tram stop was about a 50m walk from the door which made it really easy to get to and from central station and to the airport, we walked everywhere else. The room wasn't huge which wasn't an issue for us. We'll definitely return.

    Short stay

the staff were excellent and its really well located - highly recommend. We only had a short stay but will be back. The restaurant looked amazing but was fully booked - next time we will make sure to book well in advance. Would also recommend pre booking an Electric Taxi to get there from the airport - again a really excellent service

Absolutely fantastic, great location, wonderful staff

Just home from a 4 night stay in The Albus, 6 of us stayed -3 couples ages from 60-37 years old. The hotel staff Sofia,Simone,Gérard and Natasja were absolutely the best. Nothing was to much trouble for them and they were so knowledgeable and friendly. The restaurant Senses is not to be missed a total hidden gem- we ate there on Christmas Eve and had the 5 course suprise menu with wine for each course- this hotel restaurant deserves a Michelin star , it was without doubt one of the best menus we have ever had (worldwide) and Natasja knowledge of wine to compliment our courses was outstanding, it is expensive but well worth it for a special occasion. The rooms are beautiful with a Nespresso machine and really modern. The location is great basically your a 10 minute walk from most major attractions with bars, shops, restaurants right beside you. We had an excellent stay and wish to thank the wonderful staff, highly recommended.

    Great location and great service

Exceptionally helpful staff and the location cant be beat. Its right on the 16 tram line from Centraal so very easy to get to and from. Another set of trams is located around the corner. Nearby restaurants are very nice as well. Can easily walk to many of the city's museums, etc. Staff was very helpful and provided directions as well. Room was clean and modern. Some city noise but that's to be expected. Did not eat at the hotel restaurant. Nespresso in the room plus morning espresso/coffee/cappuccino in the lobby.

    Amazing Stay

We stayed at the albus for my partners birthday and we wasn't disappointed! I booked directly through the hotels website for the best price. I received emails prior to our arrival to discuss any extras and replies were prompt and polite. We arrived on the 16.12.16 around 12pm just to check whether our room was ready or not and leave our luggage. The staff were friendly and very welcoming, offering drinks while they checked if our room was available yet. We was informed because we had booked direct, that we had been upgraded to the suite although that wasn't ready at the moment and we could have the king room the we originally booked instead. We decided to wait the extra few hours so that we could have the suite. The receptionist who I think was a trainee (a young man) was more than happy to give us maps and direct us to bars and anywhere else we wanted to visit. We came back a few hours later to check in and he was about to finish his shift but he still showed us to our room and carried our luggage, a great credit to the hotel. We stayed in room 505 and it was stylish, spacious and immaculate. The prosecco I had ordered was awaiting us in a ice bowl (picture shown) we also had Heineken on tap with a free complimentary refill and a personalised birthday message for my partner. Room service was available and it had a great selection although we didn't use it on our stay. We left the hotel to explore Amsterdam and came back in the evening to get changed. We had a knock on the door and the receptionist gave me a card with birthday wishes from the staff and some gloves with touch screen tips for my girlfriends birthday! I couldn't thank them enough. Overall the experience right from booking our stay up to leaving was fantastic and couldn't fault the hotel or It's staff at all. It was the most personal and individual experience I've ever had while staying in any hotel. I would 100% recommend the albus not just because of the hotel itself but because of the exceptional staff. This will be our #1 hotel in Amsterdam and I'm sure we will be visiting again. Thank you!

Would 100% recommend this lovely hotel

The staff we're INCREDIBLY lovely and helpful - in particular Simone was super helpful when we arrived in helping us out with our room. The complementary drink was also very welcoming, as well has having facilities to store luggage before our room was ready. Overall, the staff's attention to their guests could not be faltered, even in terms of communication before we we're due to stay, as staff we're always on hand to reply to emails or updated us on further details prior to our stay. The location was perfect - right in the centre of all the sites and places we wanted to visit, with almost everything being in walking distance, or you could use the tram stop just outside the hotel if you wanted to. The room was lovely and being upgraded to a suite was a real plus. The room was equipped with everything we could need - Nespresso machine, large bed and bathroom, room safe and flatscreen tv! The room service wasn't hugely expensive either, especially given the prices of some bars in the area. Buying tickets at reception was also very handy and staff we're very helpful at giving directions or recommendations for things in Amsterdam, which was very helpful for first time visitors. We debated for ages as to where to stay while in Amsterdam, but we definitely made the right decision. Perfect location, room and staff - we really couldn't recommend staying here more! Thank you to the Albus for making our stay in Amsterdam very special! Details of stay: 16th Dec - 19th Dec, room 407.

    Good location and friendly staff

Stayed here one night with a friend, had been to Amsterdam many times before. The hotel is in an excellent location, just round the corner from the flower market and the main shopping street. Check in was a little bizarre, the staff were incredibly friendly, but took us over to a sofa while he kept going back and forth with paperwork. Just seemed more hassle than it's worth. The room was pretty big, modern and clean, with a nice added touch of a Nespresso machine. Would definitely return here
