We just returned from a week at the Albus Hotel, and LOVED it! I first visited over two years ago and this was my first return, and what I loved then proved itself again. My husband who was making his first visit really loved it, too. The hotel itself is very fine -- lovely, well-appointed, and spotlessly clean. The rooms are European (smaller by American standards), and I wish there were more drawers in the rooms for storage, but we made it work for a full week. But what makes it is the extraordinary staff. Four great employees whom I remembered from 26 months ago were still there -- Raymond, Daniel, and Joep (and also Nina, but she was on holiday). And we met other great employees: managers Victor and Taco and front-desk staff Jay and Kristoff. As someone who worked as a human resources director over 2,200 employees and does management training, I am passionate about hiring and training the right people. The ownership of this hotel takes this seriously. I will stay there every time I am in Amsterdam; it is a "home" there. I obviously strongly recommend it!

We stayed at the Albus Boutique Hotel from July 30 to August 2. The staff was awesome, both before and during our stay. Noelia, in reservations, was very helpful in answering emails about the hotel and numerous questions I had. She was always prompt and very cheerful in her responses to me. It's not often that the front desk staff remembers your name and are very outgoing, friendly and helpful. Raymond and Victor were very guest friendly. On numerous ocassions they answered our tourist questions, gave us directions, restaurant suggestions, and obtained taxis for us. The hotel was very conveniently located, within walking distance to a number of attractions. We highly recommend the Albus. We will definitely stay at the Albus again, our next visit to Amsterdam. All three of these individuals are definitely assets to to hotel.

We spent three nights here after the hotel I originally booked turned out to be a loser. ALBUS room 115 was good sized with a queen size bed a couple of chairs, a desk and a nice bathroom, ill tastefully decorated and modern. A good breakfast was included in the price with both fried and hard-boiled eggs, lots of bread, choices, Brie and other cheeses, several kinds of coffee and at least three different kinds of juice. It was a great way to start the day.! The Albus located right next to Rembrandt Square. With its many restaurants, clubs, and stores. Would definitely stay here again.

Cannot recommend The Albus Hotel enough, what a wonderful stay. Such a personal touch added to every detail. Not only is the location central and accessible, the staff go above and beyond to make sure everything is taken care of in every aspect of the stay. Probably the warmest staff that I have encountered over years of travel. Centrally located and very well appointed. Rooms are compact so storage is limited but everything is clean and well designed. Daniel has a superb staff that includes Jay, Raymond, Yup and Chris. All have a genuine warmth and desire to be helpful.

I had an absolutely fantastic stay at The Albus, I stayed for a full week in a queen room. The room and hotel was pristine, the location couldn’t have been more perfect, it's centrally located but not too much of a busy street, I couldn't hear anything. I was able to walk practically everywhere and explore so much of the city on foot. The staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and genuinely helpful....Thanks Victor! They went above and beyond to make my stay special, and their hospitality made such a difference. Between the amazing location, wonderful service, and overall experience, I couldn’t recommend The Albus more highly. I would absolutely stay here again the next time I’m in Amsterdam!
