My third wonderful stay at the Albus, such a good location between the main city streets and the Museum district meaning you can walk to so many places, with a tram stop just round the corner for longer journeys. We had a very warm welcome, particularly as a returning guest who booked direct, and i was impressed with the refurb since my previous visit pre covid. Booking direct also means a late check out free of cost which worked great with our evening flight. Room and corridors spotlessly clean, and a very peaceful stay. I wouldnt consider anywhere else for my next visit to Amsteram.

We have just stayed at The Albus for 3 nights, our stay was exceptional. We were checked in by Victor and his colleagues, they were so welcoming and attentive, the whole of our stay. As this was our first trip to Amsterdam, we chose The Albus as it is central to everything, museums, restaurants and shops. The pillows are fantastic, please don't hesitate to book this hotel.

We spent 7 nights in a “Stunning City Studio” at the Albus Hotel. The Stunning City Studio is actually an apartment, with a living/dining room, kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom. It is spacious. The living/dining room has a sofa, chair, TV stand, coffee table, dining table with 6 chairs, and 2 server type pieces of furniture. There are large windows all along the front that look out onto the street. The windows are triple-paned and we did not notice any street noise. The kitchen is fully-equipped and also has a stacked clothes washer and dryer. Laundry and dishwashing pods are provided. The bedroom is large enough for the bed, 2 small shelves on each side of the bed, and a wardrobe for clothing. The bedroom also has French doors that opened to a small balcony, but that space was enclosed with windows and we did not use it during our stay. The bathroom has a walk-in shower and separate bathtub. There is 1 step up to the bathroom. Daily housekeeping is provided and was good. There were plenty of fresh towels, soap, shampoo, etc. We stayed in Apartment 1, which is 1 flight (22 steps) up from street level, with a small landing halfway up. It has a separate entrance on street level. The steps are carpeted and are not slippery. Staff at the front desk offered to carry our luggage up. When we left, we carried it down. If you have a major problem with steps, the apartments might not be the best choice for you. But if you can do the steps, the spaciousness and amenities the apartments offer make it well worth the steps. Apartment 2 is located over Apartment 1, so there are 2 flights of steps involved there. (However, you also have the option of taking the hotel elevator to the 4th floor of the hotel, walking down the hall and around the corner, and then walking down 1 flight of stairs. This might not make sense, but when you see it, you will understand. In other words, options for Apartment 2 are to walk down/up 2 flights of steps, or take the hotel elevator and then walk down/up 1 flight of steps. Each flight of steps is about 22 steps.) I am including these details about the steps because I could not find much information on how many steps there were to the apartments when I was searching on the hotel website. Apartment 3 is on the other side of the building, so I am not sure how those steps are configured. We included breakfast, which is served in the restaurant area next to the lobby. It is not a large area, but we never had trouble finding seating. Breakfast was delicious, with a large selection of “made to order” eggs, cereals, breads, cheeses, meats, fruit, beverages, etc. Staff at the front desk were very helpful and polite. The hotel is in a good central location and we walked to all museums, Anne Frank House, markets, and other attractions. It is about a 15 minute walk to the central train station. If you decide to walk with large suitcases, remember the streets/sidewalks are mostly cobblestones. If you need a cab to the train station or the airport, let the front desk know the day before and they will take care of ordering one. We were very pleased with the Albus Hotel and the location, and would definitely stay here again.

A very nice hotel with a great location-we were able navigate all around Amsterdam easily from this great central location being mid-way between the museums and the main canals. Hotel is updated, clean and staff are very friendly. Room was a good size & bed very comfortable. Very quiet inside our room so no noise issues at all! Great atmosphere, super location and friendly staff. We can highly recommend!!

The check-in process was so easy and the hotel staff were very welcoming and kind. We arrived in Amsterdam early in the morning and as we expected, our room was not quite ready. However, they were able to store our bags and offer us a welcome drink. We then went and walked around the hotel since it is in a great location, then returned a little later and our room was ready (earlier than the time we were told, which was great) . The rooms were very clean, well-appointed, and quiet. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to return!
