Great stay
So pleased to have chosen this hotel for our recent trip to Amsterdam - my first! This small hotel is in the perfect location for sightseeing in the centre of the city yet it is an oasis of calm. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The rooms are comfortable, quiet and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was very good with a wide choice of hot and cold dishes with fresh orange juice and great coffee. Could not fault - highly recommend.

Location and Modern Quiet Room Great Choice for Us
Perfect location equidistant between Centraal Station, the Museum Quarter and Jordaan. Special thanks to Noella for her kindness and assistance and to Raymond and Victor for welcoming us so warmly. Our Splendid City King Room gave us just enough space for a comfortable 5-night stay and was modern and clean. It also overlooked the back residential area and was extremely quiet. While the bathroom is small, it is modern, and we added storage area by hanging the towels on hooks and using that area for toiletries. Taking the opportunity to address some other reviews: —shower water splashing. We avoided this by facing the hand-held shower away and by adding an extra towel outside the shower. So thankful to have a powerful, hand-held, walk in shower in addition to rainfall (which we never used). —As for the WhatsApp communication, it worked VERY well. The bot referred specific questions to the correct place, eg, asking for additional towels. Hotels are expensive in AMS. Given the location and other features, we felt this was a great choice for us.

Fantastic stay
Great location, beautiful room & balcony was a bonus. Lovely family run modern hotel, very clean. Complimentary coffee in the mornings & fresh water available throughout the day. Daily room housekeeping. Highly recommend for a city break stay.

Arrived early, Victor stored our luggage, got us a couple of cappuccinos, set us up with some maps and told us he’d work on getting us into a room. We came back a few hours later and got us into a room early - and upgraded us into a suite. Hotel was very nice, romantic was clean. Great Location, close to restaurants, shopping , and trains. Was a great stay - shoutout to Victor - always reading to take care of us.

The hotel is located at the middle of the city very good location! The stuff are warm and kind -especially Mido the chef who makes breakfast! He is so helpful and nice 👍🏽

A wonderful experience of genuine hospitality
Ideally located, clean and the staff is very attentive and hospitable in every way imaginable from reception and bar staff to restaurant staff and housekeeping. Our room had everything we needed and at night there were no noise disturbances. Nice breakfast buffet and very friendly chef and kitchen staff. I would stay here again.

Great location and staff.
I just spent five nights at this boutique hotel. The front desk/reception staff are simply wonderful. I called about a blow dryer and they were at my room within five minutes. I called about a floor lamp and again, were there in five minutes. The location is quite good. Several restaurants nearby. Most of the sites I wanted to see were a hike, but Amsterdam is a walkable city. It took me 25 min to walk to the Anne Frank house. BTW, taxis are super expensive. The hotel isn’t perfect. After a housekeeping visit there was still spilled 7up on an end table. There are a few worn corners on paint, and one outlet didn’t work. But I got a good rate, so I’m fine with an error. People are human. Breakfast was decent, but after the same thing every day it got old. Overall highly recommend if you get a decent rate.

Short but sweet stay
We had a wonderful two-day stay at Albus hotel with my daughter and truly enjoyed every moment. The location was excellent, making it easy to get around and explore. Our room was cozy, quiet, and very comfortable—perfect for relaxing after a busy day. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with anything we needed. Most importantly, we felt safe, welcomed, and genuinely well taken care of throughout our stay. It was a lovely experience for both of us, and we would gladly return. Highly recommended!

Great location. Great customer service
This was such a nice and cute little botique. Upon check in we were greeted by the ladies in the front. They offered us coffee/ water while we waited. This place is the perfect location. Everything major is within walking distance. Victor at the front desk provided exceptional customer service. He was nice and friendly and overall a joy to talk to. We enjoyed our stay.
