Stayed at the Albus two weeks ago with my wife. Hotelroom is practical and good, and the breakfast was sufficient. But the staff really made our stay. They were more than happy to help us with our questions about the city. A receptionist namen Juli really helped us with extraordinary care! Would recommend to friends due to exceptional and kind staff.

We were in Amsterdam for a couple of days to visit some museums and attend a show at DeLaMar theatre. The hotel's location is amazing, we never had to walk more than 15 minutes to get to our destinations. The staff is very friendly, although we were almost consistently helped in English even if we spoke Dutch. The rooms were clean and nicely sized, and most importantly really quiet even if we were right over some bars and a busy streets. Overall I would highly recommend this hotel.

Loved Albus Hotel! In the heart of Amsterdam, cozy, very comfortable warm plus perfectly clean. The stuff was very kind. Big room with a nice view over the city. Also a very nice breakfast ☺️. Would definitely recommend.

The Albus exceeded my expectations. We arrived exhausted off our international flight, and the front desk was so welcoming. Multiple staff interacted with us and immediately asked if we would like a drink. We handed over our passports while they did the paperwork and they invited us to have a seat and brought us our drinks. One woman brought us to our room to show us around and explain anything that might be confusing. We booked through Sam's club, and the room description (Superior Double) was titled differently than the hotel's but I believe we had the Splendid City King. It was a pretty spacious room for a European hotel room -- almost American size! The bed was comfy: firm and the blankets weren't heavy which was great because it was warm weather. The A/C kept our room nice and cool which was welcome with the heat wave Europe was experiencing. The bathroom was modern with a large shower. This brings me to possibly the only con I can even mention. The bathroom light was a sensor light. So the problem was, in the night, if either of us went into the bathroom, the whole room was lit up. The room had a good amount of storage. There was a large armoire with a light inside. Then there was another smaller closet by the door. The TV had Dutch, German, and British TV stations. I also have to point out that we were on the first floor (second floor if you're American) and on the street side. I was concerned about noise. The ONLY night we heard loud outside noise was Saturday night. And for obvious reasons -- we were in Amsterdam, and people were having fun. Nothing a pair of earplugs wouldn't have solved. We were above the front desk/lobby, and never hear anything. We also barely heard our neighbors. So insulation must be great! One more thing: there were negative reviews earlier in the summer due to the elevator being out of service. It was working when we arrived on 9/1. Location: we walked a lot. To Dam Square, it was about 20 min. It was about the same to the Van Gogh and Rijksmuseum. BUT, there was a tram stop right out front of the hotel. That line goes to the train station which was extremely handy. (And the trams are super easy. Just tap your credit card going in and going out and it automatically charges you. No transit cards or tickets necessary!) If you're interested in the Flower Market, it's just around the corner. (But we were given the advice to purchase tulip bulbs at the Tulip Museum.) If we came back to Amsterdam, I would see if this hotel had availability. We really enjoyed our stay here.

The location of the hotel is very convenient. Close to everything. The dam is about 12 minutes by food. The flower market is just next door. The food recommended by the hotel was spot on. Good options all around. The rooms are large enough and the staff keeps it very clean

Business
Stayed for five nights on a business trip. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my stay, the breakfast was amazing, and the rooms appropriate for the price-point. The hotel is very centrally located with lots of attractions within walking distance and good metro and tram connections. Easy to get to the central station or airport.

Very polite staff. They helped me understand and answer my questions; they are true professionals. The hotel pleased me with a pleasant view from the window and cleanliness. And of course, I didn’t go hungry, the food in the restaurant was simply amazing!!!

Really friendly staff. My apartment had everything I needed (except toothpaste!) to provide me with a perfect weekend stay. Thanks to Savannah and her colleagues for being so welcoming and the champagne on arrival!

Lovely hotel. I gave one of my friends this stay in The Albus hotel as a gift because of her bachelorette. The staff amazing, rooms spacious/beautiful and amazing location. When check-in they gave us a glass of champagne and it was delious. I also when coming in the room it was decoreated with flowers, balloons, a cake and champagne. They also roomed us so we felt like celeberties haha. I am coming again to this hotel.

When we came in the hotel we got a glass of bubbles. Really nice! And the hotel staff are really nice, always smiling if you walk past the reception. It was really nice that the hotel could book tourist attractions. My favourite was the rijksmuseum. The albus really made my vacation with my friends unforgettable. I will come back for sure!!
