A lovely boutique hotel in a perfect location -- in the thick of the city without the huge crowds. Quiet, convenient, comfortable and oh so friendly and welcoming. Would definitely stay here again.

This hotel has a nice central location. The in-house Senses restaurant is super, book a combination if you can. The rooms are okay size, nicely decorated. Sound proofing is good (no street noise) and bad (clear hallway sound, like voices). That was not so pleasant at 2am when other guests wished each other a good night sleep rather loud. Same thing the night before at 1am. The breakfast is amazing and the chef that is cooking for breakfast in the open kitchen is talented and proud. He has all the reason to be. Super!

There were 4 couples who spent 3 nights at The Albus for a delightful stay. The Albus is centrally located but away from the crazy crowds! We were within walking distance of the Van Gough Museum, nice restaurants, and all the sights we wanted see. We highly recommend The Albus!

Our stay at The Albus was fantastic from start to finish. The location is perfect — right in the heart of Amsterdam, making it easy to explore the city on foot. The Splendid City King Room was modern, spotless, and very comfortable. The staff were exceptional — friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. Breakfast was fresh and varied, with plenty of delicious options to start the day right. We also enjoyed dinner at their Senses Restaurant, which was a real highlight, offering beautifully presented dishes full of flavour.

First trip to Amsterdam and KLM managed to lose our luggage on a direct flight. The hotel staff were so helpful and made us feel so less stressed out. The room was large by any major city standard with a large tub and walk in shower. The room was clean and the second bed for our 5 yr old was huge. But really it was the front desk staff that were outstanding and we would cause us to consider staying again

This is a fantastic hotel with an unbeatable location—right in the heart of the city, close to everything you might need as a tourist. The service was consistently excellent throughout our stay. A special shoutout to Raymond, who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. He was not only professional but also incredibly friendly and kind, always ready to help with a smile. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, and the atmosphere of the hotel was warm and relaxing. If I ever return to Amsterdam, there’s no doubt I’ll be staying here again. Highly recommended!

We had a truly wonderful stay at The Albus Hotel. The rooms were stylish, comfortable, and thoughtfully equipped, with spacious bathrooms and everything we needed for a relaxing visit. What really made our experience exceptional, though, was the staff. Every team member we encountered was not only professional and helpful, but also genuinely kind and welcoming. They anticipated our needs before we even realized them ourselves, and their warmth made a lasting impression on our time in Amsterdam.

Right from the time we made the reservations, the front desk has been diligent in keeping us posted of our reservation status . As we got closer to our date of arrival they asked us if they could help us make our visit comfortable. We arrived early from an international flight and requested an early check in. They worked with us to ensure we were able to check in with an upgrade for a slightly higher rate and made the room available. The most amazing part is Noelia / front desk Supervisor received us warmly , helped us with our luggage and brought us some coffee and tea supplies and left. Talk of Heartwarming European/Dutch hospitality, she personifies it! She definitely made Albus hotel look great! So did the rest of the front desk staff who are so pleasant and helpful! Good leadership Noelia!

The entirety of the staff were universally genuine and accommodating on every level (Raymond is a gregarious gem of a human). Everything (room, common areas, lounge, et. al.) were in top order. Wonderful location :: walkable, nearby transport, eateries, and nightlife to allow a serendipitous experience for anyone with the will to explore.
